Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter Apple recreates mom’s classic ’90s look

When it comes to finding the perfect outfit, Apple Martin will take her mom’s closet over designer boutiques any day.

The 21-year-old model, daughter of actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin , channeled her mother’s iconic ’90s style for the New York premiere of “Marty Supreme,” the sports dramedy starring Paltrow and Timothée Chalamet , on Tuesday, Dec. 16. Martin, alongside younger brother Moses Martin , accompanied Paltrow to the red-carpet event.

For her premiere look, Martin opted for a black halter dress from the Calvin Klein Collection, according خرید بک لینک to Vogue . Paltrow originally wore the sleek number nearly 30 years ago for the July 1996 premiere of her film “Emma.”

This isn’t the first time Martin has embraced her mother’s sartorial legacy.

During a June 2023 Q&A session on Instagram, Paltrow revealed that Martin had tried on the controversial Alexander McQueen gown Paltrow wore to the 74th Academy Awards in 2002. The Oscar-winning actress and Goop founder even shared a photo of Martin donning the goth-inspired frock, which showed Martin playfully posing inside what appeared to be a walk-in closet.

Sharing fashion is an important mother-daughter rite of passage for Paltrow, who told Vogue in 2021 that she often archives her past looks in case Martin ever wants to wear them.

“They say I was like a definitive ’90s style lady, [but] at the time I just thought I was wearing minimalist stuff with brown lip liner and a lot of powder,” Paltrow said at the time. “[My daughter] will sometimes find old pictures of me on Instagram and in a very droll way be like, ‘You’re iconic, Mom.'”

As for the Calvin Klein gown, Paltrow and the iconic American fashion label go way back. Aside from the “Emma” premiere, Paltrow wore Calvin Klein looks to the 1995 Met Gala and during an on-set visit with then-boyfriend Brad Pitt in 1996.

“I was so thrilled because he always wanted to dress me and lend me beautiful things,” Paltrow told Vogue of Klein in 2021. “And some of them he gave me, and some of them I still have to this very day.”
